Grading

7th graders will be graded two ways in Computer Science:

Participation/Completion Badges

(100 points- will appear in Sapphire as twenty seperate 5 point assignments) Badges are only earned for complete and well done work. Badges will be earned on quizzes and projects when a student earns a 75% or better. Students will have the opportunity to earn at least 25 badges throughout the quarter with opportunities to earn missed work badges as well. This system is in place to help students be successful in the course as well as get the most out of the assignments.  Students and Parents can track the badges they have earned on Mrs. Coleman's 7th grade website.

End of Quarter Digital Portfolio

(100 points- will be graded the last week of the quarter) Students will create a Google Site that showcases the projects they created and what they learned throughout the quarter in Computer Science.  They will be expected to compile this throughout the quarter and turn it in the Friday before the end of the quarter.
